Masha Drokova was an angel investor and the creator of a PR firm that worked with firms including Houzz, HotelTonight, Gett, and Toptal before founding Day One Ventures. She was interviewed by Thrive Global, and this is how her interview went.
In terms of putting what I have to good use, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet nice individuals who are supportive of my ideas, even if they don’t think they’re particularly sensible at the time. I like being able to provide something to others. I can sense when someone is enthusiastic about something but lacks the bravery to pursue their passion or idea. I try to figure out why they have dreams, and if it’s true, I support them and want to offer them the strength and love they need to go after their goals. I like sharing my life experiences and have been coaching scores of people in order to assist them in determining their future steps in life. It’s critical to meet someone who will remind you that the sky is the limit. So, because I’ve had new and different possibilities in my life as a consequence of other people bringing them to me, I feel compelled to contribute to the creation of new and different chances for others. It’s not always about the money or the investment, but what if you were the first to believe in someone? That is sufficient motivation for that person to produce something extraordinary for the world. I like being in a position to assist others in achieving their goals and helping the environment, and I feel one of my strengths is the ability to perceive individuals in ways that others do not. I have a unique ability to love and believe in others, which will be enough for them to begin loving and believing in themselves and, as a consequence, achieve their goals.
